Facebook Not Exempt From Social Media Accountability
For decades, consumers have been helpless in the fight against large businesses. If consumers were mistreated or wronged, they could only reasonably complain to the business and close friends. They did not have a platform in which to complain to the masses or ban together with others who experienced the same frustration. Certainly their complaints could not counterbalance the marketing efforts of the misbehaving company.

If Facebook were a country, it would be the 4th largest in the world. It was on pace to become #3 until recent concerns arose. Now, once second rate social sites are experiencing a growth explosion as a result of Facebook’s questionable behavior.

“The market opportunity is one of a kind, and it’s up to us to capitalize on it,” he said.
“Facebook is pushing to the edge of users’ comfort zone,” he said. “It has certainly planted a seed in some users’ minds to look for an exit door.”

And there is profit in operating honorably. Transparency isn’t just a presidential catch-phrase, but a way of doing business.
